Weekend Retreats

These events offer parents an incredible opportunity to make a memory and build relationships with their children in a fun-filled weekend at CrossTimbers Baptist Camp. Any age child who has completed first grade or above may attend. Each child must be accompanied by a parent or another responsible adult, but adults may bring more than one boy or girl. This year's retreats will take place as follows:

Father & Daughter Weekend            May 29 - 30

Mother & Daughter Weekend           June 5 - 6

                                                             July 10 - 11

Father & Son Weekend                     June 19 - 20

COST

Each event will cost $30 per person and includes camp fees, a tee shirt, all meals, insurance, and program materials. (**Fees are transferable, but not refundable unless registration is canceled more than a week in advance.)

SCHEDULE

Campers should arrive at camp for registration at 3:00 p.m. on Friday (no earlier, please!) and be ready to leave at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Friday

3:00 p.m. Registration

3:00-3:45 p.m. Camptivities (outdoor options-including pool, ropes, wall, paddleboats, canoes, archery, skeet and guns)

3:45-4:30 p.m. Camptivities (choose another outdoor option)

4:30-5:00 p.m. Get ready for dinner

5:00-6:00 p.m. Dinner - Hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, chips, brownies, lemonade

6:00-7:15 p.m. Camptivities: (indoor activities will be included)

7:15-7:30 p.m. Flagpole time

7:30-8:00 p.m. Quiet Time - Parent & Child

8:00-9:00 p.m. Worship Time - Fun Music and Drama & Guest Speaker

9:00-9:30 p.m. Concessions & Store Open

9:30-10:30 p.m. Special Feature: Hysterical Fun for ALL!

10:30 p.m. Campfire Time

Saturday

7:50 a.m. Flagpole time

8:00-9:00 a.m. Breakfast - Bacon, eggs, biscuits, gravy, fruit, cereal, milk, juice, coffee & hot teas

9:00-9:20 a.m. Morning Devotion

9:20-10:30 a.m. Camptivity (Indoor/ outdoor choices)

10:30-10:45 a.m. Concessions open

10:45-Noon p.m. Camptivity (Indoor/ outdoor choices)

Noon-1:00 p.m. Lunch - Chicken fingers, mashed potatoes, salad, rolls, cobbler

1:00-3:00 p.m. Free Time (spend time hiking, pool, or climbing wall)

OTHER ITEMS TO CONSIDER

  • Father/ Daughter Weekend sleeping arrangements- Father will be assigned a cabin together and the girls will stay with the camp staff ladies to enjoy an all-girls slumber party.
  • The Campground can offer 160 beds to campers so registration is first come- first served. Register online today.
  • Groups may register as individuals online and a group leader can send a list of campers to kbadgett@bgco.org  for rooming together. This list must be received two weeks before the retreat to insure the requested housing placement.
  • Children must have completed the first grade to be eligible to attend with parents. Younger children are not permitted.
  • Mother/ Daughter Weekends are hosted by Kelly King, Women's Ministry Specialist
  • Father/ Son and Father/ Daughter weekends are hosted by Keith Burkhart, Men's and Family Ministry Specialist

REGISTRATION

Advance registration is necessary. Register on-line or by sending completed registration form and payment to CrossTimbers Office, BGCO, 3800 North May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK73112. Registration is limited to 150 campers. On-line registration - COMING SOON!
