The SBC's mission is the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), and the Cooperative Program is the channel for fulfilling our mission. Gifts from cooperating individual churches in the Southern Baptist Convention are combined into a unified budget, which supports the missionary, education and benevolent ministries in the state, the nation, and throughout the world. Through the Cooperative Program, our denomination cooperates as a mission team - from the church members to the convention worker to the missionary on the farthest field.
