Oklahoma Bible Conference

May 5-7, 2008

Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center Chapel

This is a special year in that we will be meeting for the first time in the new chapel area of the tabernacle. Built around the theme of "Connect - Renew - Prepare," this year's conference promises to be an awesome time of inspirational preaching, excellent Bible study and fellowship, as well as personal renewal.

Perhaps a little bit of history would be helpful as you plan your participation in this event. Dating back to the 70's, the Oklahoma Bible Conference has been a time of inspiration and worship in the retreat setting of Falls Creek Conference Center where pastors and staff receive teaching and equipping.

When B.B. McKinney Chapel was torn down to make room for the new tabernacle, our services moved to the cafeteria. While dealing with less comfortable surroundings was worth it, we are now able to enjoy the new chapel for our meeting times this year. If less than spacious conditions have deterred you in the past, then the time is here for you to come back to the Oklahoma Bible Conference.

This year's guest preacher will be Dr. Tom Elliff, who serves as Senior Vice President of Spiritual Nurture and Church Growth, International Mission Board. Dr. Rick Byargeon, Senior Pastor of Temple Baptist Church, Ruston, Louisiana, will be leading our equipping sessions for next year's January Bible Study on Exodus. Dr. Preston Collins, Associate Executive Director of Union Baptist Association, will share with us about a January Bible Study resource that he is preparing specifically for this event. And our music sessions will be led by Bart Morrison, minister of music at the First Baptist Church of Ada.

The Oklahoma Bible Conference is made possible by Cooperative Program giving. Because of this we have been able to maintain the cost at $45 per person for this three-day event.

If there are other leaders in your church or area that you would like to invite, please share this information with them, especially any younger or first-time pastors.
