The purpose of RAs is to help children learn about missions and how they can be personally involved in practical missions experiences. The Royal Ambassador pledge exemplifies what RAs is about:
Royal Ambassadors uses games, stories, Bible verses, and activities to challenge children at their levels of competence and interest. The RA program for boys in grades 1-3 is called Lads. Their motto is: "Learn and do in Jesus' name." Crusaders is the RA program for boys in grades 4-6. Their motto is: "Help others in Jesus' name." The purpose of Challengers is to interpret missions as a biblical mandate and instruct young men and those who lead them toward missions and ministry actions. Challengers seek to blend their ministry within the local church with missions beyond the local church.
