Oklahoma City, OK – Former University of Oklahoma All-America running back and Super Bowl champion, Spencer Tillman will be the keynote speaker at the 2008 Oklahoma Men’s Retreat April 25-26 at the Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center in Davis, Okla. Tillman, a CBS sports commentator and author will speak to men about living a more fulfilling life.
The Retreat also features ESPN’s Gold Medal Fly Fisherman Chuck Farneth, nationally-recognized horseman Lew Sterrett, Buddy Newsome, founder of F.A.I.T.H. Riders Motorcycle Ministry as well as acclaimed dog trainer Steve Harris.
The Oklahoma Men’s Retreat, Rewired, is designed to challenge and encourage men in and around Oklahoma through adventure, worship and interactive teaching. “Rewired is an opportunity for men to develop relationships while learning spiritual truths that can be applied at work and at home,” said Keith Burkhart, family and men’s ministry specialist for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma.
The Brad Henderson Band will be the featured musical guest throughout the weekend. Friday evening will conclude with a bonfire and Bluegrass “jam session.”
The cost for the weekend is thirty-five dollars for boys 13 to 18 and forty-five dollars for adults. Registration is required.
