RESONATE – Worship Arts Camp

Worship Arts Camp for Oklahoma Baptist Students
for students who have completed 9th – 12th grade and
who have been selected by their Ministers of Music or Youth Pastors.

June 26 – June 30, 2012
(Tuesday through Friday with concert on Saturday)

2012 Information:

Dates: June 26, 2012 – June 30, 2012

Location: Oklahoma Baptist University – Shawnee, Oklahoma

Goal:  To teach and model worship arts and to encourage a commitment to worship ministry in the local church.

Cost of Camp:
Camper Registration – $175.00
Mentor Registration – $125.00

We want students who have shown an interest
in using their artistic gifts in the ministry of their local church.

All RESONATE faculty will be Oklahoma Baptists involved in worship and/or teaching ministries.
We will have a camp pastor to preach in the morning and evening worship sessions.
We will have a camp band to lead in the evening worship sessions.
We will create a youth band by audition to play in the morning worship sessions.

Camp Features:

Two Large Group Tracks (all campers will be involved in one of these groups)
Worship Choir or Orchestra

Small Group tracks (all campers will select their top three choices and then be assigned one focus group for the week – based on numbers)
Bass Guitar

Morning Worship Band (by audition on arrival day only)
Playing Piano for Worship

Sound and Media Technology

Worship Song Writing

Afternoon Discussion Groups - topics relevant to your calling

Tuesday Night - inflatable activity – (you might get wet!)

Wednesday Night - special appearance by Josh Wilson in concert! Check him out at www.joshwilsonmusic.com!

Thursday Night – annual Talent Show

Friday Night – many of the small track groups will present their work for the week.

Saturday Morning – the worship choir and orchestra will lead in the closing session.  The 11:00 performance held in Raley Chapel at OBU will be open to the public.

Before registering, please note the following important items of information:

  1. Payment can be made by credit/debit card or now in e-check in the full amount only online.  If you are not prepared to do an e-check or online payment, there is a third “cash” option.  If you choose the third option, please send a $50 deposit no later than June 15th and a check for the balance of your registration fee to:

    with your confirmation number and camper or mentor name(s) on the check memo or stub as soon as possible.
  2. We can now enroll multiple participants and pay with only one payment.  After completion of the first participant and before the payment screen, please click the red button “add attendee” to add additional campers on the camper registration or mentors on the mentor registration.  Unfortunately, we cannot combine both campers and mentors since the payment amounts are different for each of them.
  3. Reference number – where does it come from?  This is a blank box that you will fill in with the first four letters of your last name combined with a six number description of today’s date – i.e., fare041512.
  4. Please answer all questions completely and accurately. You will need your church’s address including zip code, so locate that information in advance, please.  Use an email address that is checked often, since we will be sending important details to you during the next few months before camp begins.
  5. Don’t forget to print out the registration when it is complete, so you will have a copy of the confirmation number for your files!

If you are a student, you must take the time before camp, to download, print out, fill out, and bring with you the following Resonate 2012 Student Camper Release and Waiver of Claims Form along with a copy of your current insurance card, please.

If you are an adult mentor or faculty member, you must take the time before camp, to download, print out, fill out, and bring with you the following Resonate Adult Camper Release and Waiver of Claims Form along with a copy of your current insurance card, please.
