ConNEXTion Bible Learning Groups

How Can We Make The ConNEXTion?
Hundreds of thousands of Oklahomans have never known Jesus Christ or the joy of Christian fellowship. How can Oklahoma Baptists help them connect with the Lord and His church? What about ConNEXTion groups?

A Bible Learning Network
The ConNEXTion vision is to build a multiplying network of Bible Learning Groups that connects people to Jesus Christ, so that He might impact their lives and through them, others.

ConNEXTion groups are easy to start, and so simple that everyone can be an important part. With simple methods, easy-to-use resources, and inductive Bible studies—many people say, “Hey, I could do that!”

You can make the ConNEXTion too!
Three people get together and make a 6-month commitment to do three things

One: Connect 12 Non-believers or un-churched people to each other in a small group

Two: Connect the people in the group to God with an easy-to-use evangelistic study

Three: Connect the people in the group to your church or plant a new one!

It’s Easy to Start a Group!
Prayerfully find two other people who have a vision to make the ConNEXTion like you. You will form a team of people who are fired up with an important mission! Together you’ll make one H.O.T. Team

Host: A person who has connections with non-believers or unchurched people who can involve 5 to 12 new people in the new group.
Organizer: Finds a place to meet, organizes, assists the host to prepare the refreshments, and plans fellowships.
Teacher: Guides the Bible Study discussion, encourages faith in Jesus Christ, and keeps everyone moving to the “next level”.

A Simple Approach
You won’t even have to figure out what to teach; there are simple to use materials that the people in your group will easily understand! You will also always know what’s “Next” in ConNEXTion!

Here’s Your Six Month Plan

First Two Weeks: Gather a group of 5 to 12 people by using a special emphasis to bring people together.

Second Seven Weeks: Evangelistic Bible Study

Week Ten: Celebration and Baptisms

Last Eleven Weeks: Reproduce a new ConNEXTion group and begin an easy-to-learn 11-week discipleship study.

You’ll be amazed that your Bible Learning Group will not only reproduce itself, but it will also produce leaders for the “next” reproduction of your ConNEXTion group.

After Six Months What’s Next?
At the end of six months the group must decide to form a new church or to continue as a Bible Learning Group.
