2008 Preschool Children’s Leadership Convention

April 4-5, 2008 are the dates set for the next Heart of the Child Preschool and Children's Leadership Convention. It will be held at First Baptist Church Broken Arrow and is a combined effort of state conventions from Kansas-Nebraska, Missouri, New Mexico, Arkansas, Southern Baptists of Texas, and the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma.

Keynote speakers will be Dr. Thom Rainer, President of LifeWay Christian Resources; Dr. Daryl Eldridge, President of Rockbridge Seminary, Springfield, MO; and Jerry Vogel, Director of Childhood Ministry Publishing for LifeWay Christian Resources. Worship leader will be Jason Catron and banquest entertainer will be Kay DeKalb Smith, from Nashville, TN.

2006 Preschool and Children’s Leadership Convention

Over 700 confereees registered for this event which was held at First Baptist Church, Broken Arrow, OK on March 31 and April 1, 2006. Attendance, which included conferees, conference and worship leaders, as well as other special guests, climbed to just under 800.

This was the second leadership convention to be sponsored by the BGCO along with conventions from adjoining states of Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas-Nebraska. The plan is to conduct this event every other year. Watch this website for information about the next convention and plan to participate.
