About the Cooperative Program
The SBC’s mission is the Great Commission (
Matthew 28:19-20), and the Cooperative Program is the channel for fulfilling our mission. Gifts from cooperating individual churches in the Southern Baptist Convention are combined into a unified budget, which supports the missionary, education and benevolent ministries in the state, the nation, and throughout the world. Through the Cooperative Program, our denomination cooperates as a mission team – from the church members to the convention worker to the missionary on the farthest field.
Just 12 days after your church sends its Cooperative Program contributions to the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma the monies are on the mission field helping tell the story of Christ around the world 24 hours a day, 7days a week.
