WHAT’S HAPPENING IN GUERRERO TODAY?
Like most of the population in Mexico, the people of Guerrero are members of the Roman Catholic Church. They do not understand that salvation is through Jesus alone and not through good works, church membership, baptism and other rituals.
There are no missionaries with our International Mission Board serving in Guerrero. The Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma and some churches are helping Alicia Duncan in Zihuatanejo and Jim Blackwell in Acapulco as they coordinate the work of our Oklahoma volunteers. The Guerrero Baptist Convention is attempting to start a church in every county in the state of Guerrero. They are asking Oklahoma Baptists to come along side to help them prayer walk the cities, distribute literature and preach the Gospel.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
You can pray walk, distribute literature and do personal evangelism where the convention wants to plant new churches.
COST:
Approximately $1100 for airfare, lodging, food and in-country travel. Each team will need to pay for the materials they use for distribution, approximately$800.00
