Foster Care/Adoptive Information

As believers of Christ, we are called to help the widow and orphans (James 1:27). Oklahoma Baptists join together with other organizations to bring light on this devastating situation and need in our state. Please pray how God will lead you and your church to become involved.

We challenge all Oklahoma Baptist Churches to help change the world of Oklahoma children. For more information, check out this article by Dr. Anthony Jordan.

Find Out More About Becoming A Foster Care Family

The Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma invites you to register as you make a commitment to become a Bridge Resource Foster or Adoptive Family. In 2015, Dr. Jordan challenged pastors and churches to become directly involved in foster care. Starting immediately, if you are interested in exploring foster care, call OBHC at 405/942-3800, ext. 4628. The BGCO and OBHC will work in conjunction with the Eckerd organization, who has agreements with the State of Oklahoma to place children in care.

Find out more by visiting http://www.obhc.org/services/foster-care or contact Teri Blanton, Foster Care Coordinator at OBHC, at 405-640-0622.
