Each year, the BGCO presents seminars on tax issues, internal controls, and legal issues for churches. The seminars are designed specifically for churches and they are conducted in Oklahoma City, Tulsa area, Lawton, and southeast Oklahoma each year. Materials used at the seminar are available throughout the year from the Church & Employee Benefit Services Office.

BASIC TAX SEMINAR
The Basic Tax Seminar for churches presents instruction on tax laws that impact churches, ministers, and lay employees. Items covered include payroll tax reports, housing allowance, professional expenses, charitable contributions, and more.
INTERNAL CONTROLS & LEGAL ISSUES SEMINAR
The Internal Controls & Legal Issues Seminar presents instruction on the proper procedures for handling receipts, expenditures, and recordkeeping. The seminar also covers basic legal issues for churches.

Registration is available online by clicking on the events below. Registration is also available over the phone or by mail using the tax seminar brochure mailed to your church. The cost of the seminars is $59/person. There is a $20 reduction in cost for attendees from Southern Baptist Churches, where the church has less than $75,000 in annual undesignated receipts.
