Different Time, Same Blessing
Date: May 8-10, 2017
Where: Falls Creek Conference Centers
Dr. Bobby Kelly, Dr. Scott Pace, and Rev. Keith Wiginton
Here’s something that I believe: ANY day is a great day to be at Falls Creek. For an Oklahoma Baptist, it’s hard to beat being at the place where we’ve seen God do His amazing work so many times.
So, Oklahoma Baptist pastors will get a chance to test this theory this year. We are moving the dates of the Oklahoma Bible Conference back to early May. Three years ago, we changed the date to the fall in hopes that it might allow more pastors to be a part of the blessing that always comes through studying God’s Word together with other pastors. That did not wind up being the case so we have decided to return to our traditional time of year with the same location.
So on May 8-10, 2017, one of the best kept BGCO secrets—the Oklahoma Bible Conference – will be held at Falls Creek. Dr. Bobby Kelly, New Testament Professor at Oklahoma Baptist University, and Dr. Scott Pace, Professor of Preaching, also at OBU, will be leading our sessions. Rev. Keith Wiginton, pastor of Claremore, First, will be preaching on Monday night to kick off the conference. Wiginton is the president of the 2017 Pastors’ Conference and we look forward to hearing what God lays on his heart.
This year’s study will be on 1 Peter as LifeWay’s January Bible Study book. Copies of the Study Guide will be available for purchase. In addition, there will be times of worship and fellowship.
Regardless of what time it is held, the Oklahoma Bible Conference is always about three things: connecting with other pastors, preparing for January Bible Study, and renewing your enthusiasm for ministry. This year will be no different in that regard.
Please mark this date on your calendar and join us for the Oklahoma Bible Conference.
